The main inspiration that drives my creative practice is my Christian faith. The work that I make for my studio is an external reflection of my internal thoughts. Within the forms of my furniture, I tend to never lose sight of this question: “What is the point of making this object?” The answer lies within my personal faith in God and in the Bible. Whereas other artists experiment with materials or methods of making, I experiment with the soul. I am interested in making furniture that does not only focus on aesthetics but rather creating a body of work that tells a story and communicates a message. I express the inexpressible by using my Biblical beliefs as a premise for my artistic expression.
